using the hall for business meetings and events

We welcome companies and organisations to use our excellent facilities at Grayswood Village Hall for your meetings, events, exhibitions or other activities.

larger gatherings

The main hall provides a superb space for exhibitions or large meetings of anything up to 200 people, or over 100 if seated at tables. With its adjoining, professional kitchen, you are well placed to offer hospitality in the form of hot meals and beverages and even to serve these directly through the integrated serving hatch. The kitchen is equipped with a professional range and oven, commercial dishwasher, a large refrigerator as well as a full service of crockery and cutlery sufficient for most events.

Linked seating and folding tables are provided in the cost of your hire. Many seating configurations are possible in the hall. When you hire the hall, it will be empty of all furniture, though all the seating and tables are available in a store opening directly from the main hall.

All external windows are fitted with lined curtains but not with blackout. The hall has a solid timber floor. There is level, step free access, via two sets of double doors from the car park, making unloading and loading easy, as well as providing fully accessible premises for users with disabilities.

smaller gatherings

The separate committee room (the Oonagh Jeffrey Room) is an excellent place to hold private meetings or events for smaller groups. The furniture in the room can easily be arranged to provide a boardroom table and seating for eight, or seating in rows or a large circle for up to 24. Alternatively, the space can be used for smaller exhibitions or displays for up to 30 visitors at a time. It is entirely separate from the main hall so that any event taking place in the main hall at the same time is not going to have any impact on your use of the committee room.

The room is fitted with lined curtains and is fully carpeted. An adjoining kitchenette is ideal for serving beverages or cold snacks. Kettles and crockery are provided.

Access to the room involves a flight of stairs which means that the Oonagh Jeffrey Room is currently not suitable for wheelchair users or those who find climbing stairs a problem.
